We produce all of our music independently, and are currently seeking funding for our upcoming album. We need to raise $10,000 by June 1st, 2011 to begin production. We plan to finish recording by the end of July and release the album by Fall 2011.
All funds raised will go directly to the means of production; including the purchase and rental of microphones and preamps, software, tape machine and tape, and all of the myriad sundries associated with an undertaking of this magnitude.
Our last record was entirely self-funded and produced; a model we want to maintain. However, this time we intend to record the entire album on tape, with better equipment, and release the album as a vinyl LP. Additionally, we plan to pay all of our contributors (guest musicians, recording engineer, mixing engineer, mastering engineer) a decent living wage for their contributions.
The recording space has already been generously donated by the painter Ray Smith, and we will gladly accept equipment donations and loans. An up to date list of desired equipment is available here. If you are interested in loaning or daonating equipment we will provide you with a receipt for the value of your loan/donation.
